The camp not only offers outdoor activities and adventures in nature, but it also becomes a space to celebrate and keep alive our cultural traditions. Among them, the Day of the Dead occupies a special place.
For Camp Santa Ursula, this holiday, full of color, history and symbolism, represents a unique opportunity for children and teenagers to connect with their roots, understand the meaning of honoring loved ones who are no longer there and participate in a cultural celebration that unites families and friends.
As part of our summer theme nights, we celebrate this great holiday with “Day of the Dead, a Night to Remember and Celebrate”, where campers live an immersive experience in this Mexican tradition.
📅 Dates: El November 1 and 2 The Day of the Dead is celebrated, although since the last week of October, preparations have begun throughout Mexico. More than a moment of mourning, it is a Celebration of life, where it is believed that the souls of the deceased return to live with their loved ones.
During this special night, the camp is filled with vibrant colors, catrinas, shredded paper and altars, recreating the atmosphere of the holiday. In addition, we enjoy traditional drinks, Pan de Muerto and typical Mexican dishes prepared by the Chef del Camp. All of this allows campers to experience and appreciate the richness of our traditions.
Implementing this celebration in our summer season not only enriches the campers' experience, but also provides multiple benefits:
✅ Connecting with Cultural Traditions
In Camp Santa Ursula, we strive to ensure that each theme night reflects the love for our culture and traditions.
